Some of Metallica’s Gear for their M72 World Tour Damanged in a Massive Freeway Collision

One of the Semi-Trucks carrying Metallica’s gear for the M72 tour from New Jersey to Montreal, Canada was destroyed in a huge freeway collision near Lake George. Pictures circulated this week in a Facebook group for roadcrew and touring personnel. According to the group and to local news reports the incident occurred while it was traveling north along I-87 near Lake George. The photos are horrifying so be forewarned. Multiple vehicles were involved in the crash. Apparently, no one was hurt and Metallica’s second set of dates on the tour seem intact.
