Sol Invicto has released “Clarity,” the first track in a new collaborative series with drum and bass producer Technical Itch, featuring Deftones guitarist Stephen Carpenter on guitars and Cypress Hill percussionist Eric Bobo. Sol Invicto describes the track as “a dark industrial drum and bass metal hybrid,” blending Carpenter’s heavy, detuned guitar riffs with Technical Itch’s sinister soundscapes and raw amen edits over dense, rolling production. The result merges relentless jungle breakbeat energy with nasty detuned metal riffs in a way that sits squarely in the space Sol Invicto have been carving out since their formation.

Led by producer Richie Londres, Sol Invicto regularly draws from a circle of collaborators that includes Carpenter, Bobo, and SikTh drummer Dan Foord. “Clarity” is the first in a dedicated new series of collaborations between Sol Invicto and Technical Itch, focused on dark drum and bass fused with heavy industrial metal guitars.
