Mick Thomson is now the third member of Slipknot to undergo spinal surgery since June. Corey Taylor had to have unplanned spinal surgery last Summer, Jim Root underwent the surgery last October, and now Mick has joined the “cyborg club.” In his latest post on Instagram, the guitarist revealed before and after x-ray photos of his surgery. He thanks Dr. Brian Perri and his medical staff “for being awesome,” and “hopes to be back to mid 2000s banging by our next record cycle.”

I recently joined the cyborg club. Sore as fuck but hope to be back to mid 2000s banging by our next record cycle. Should probably just have every disc replaced all the way down to be safe. Dr. Perri and the entire staff were awesome.
