Reigning Phoenix Music and Hasbro have announced the Transformers: The Movie 40th Anniversary Celebration of Life Concert, featuring music from the Transformers: The Movie: The Soundtrack: The Reformatted Edition performed live by Knights of Unicron. The show is part of Hasbro’s Apology Tour, a playful year-long campaign celebrating the 40th anniversary of the 1986 animated film and acknowledging the moment fans still haven’t quite recovered from: the death of Optimus Prime.

Bach performs “Nothin’s Gonna Stand in Our Way,” originally recorded by Spectre General (AKA Kick Axe), alongside a powerhouse cast including Stan Bush, composer Vince DiCola, Brittney Slayes of Unleash the Archers, Mark Osegueda of Death Angel, Kerry King, and Francesco Cavalieri of Wind Rose. Cold Slither returns to the stage after their Comic-Con live debut last year, and Jem and the Holograms feature original singer Britta Phillips.

The soundtrack album was produced by Matt LaPlant, mixed by Chris “Zeuss” Harris, and recorded at Ripper’s Lair. Beginning September 17, 2026, in honor of Transformers Day, the beloved 1986 film returns to theatres in 4K for a limited run through September 21.
