Norwegian post-black metal trio, Rosa Faenskap,  are currently preparing for the release of their sophomore album, due out later this year on the Fysisk Format record label. They recently shared the first glimpse of the upcoming full-length in new single, “Klarhet i kaos” (“Clarity in Chaos”). Check it out below.

“Klarhet i kaos” represents a struggle between the internal and the external,” the band explains. “The song gives voice to the feeling of one’s identity being obvious and self-evident – yet still thrown into turmoil by external hatred and ignorance. It explores the difficulty of understanding and accepting oneself when faced with contradictory rhetoric and pressure to conform. The emotional tensions explored in the track are reflected musically through a contrasting soundscape of menacing walls of noise, soft ambient landscapes, and playful melodies.”

If their acclaimed debut Jeg blir til deg (2023) oscillated between aggression and beauty, “Klarhet i kaos” throws both into a blender and lights it on fire.
