20 Years Of Dreaming And Scheming is 17 unreleased songs from all across the Red Scare expanded universe. We’ve got some new faces, some Red Scare regulars, some beloved alumni, some guest artists, and even some inactive bands that reformed to give us a new track. Because it’s our 20th birthday, we’re doing a buncha parties and PR around the milestone, but most importantly, we have these 17 songs. Assembling this has been a labor of love and a heartfelt paean to the punks. We love y’all, and these songs are for you. Sure, there’s a couple stinkers in the bunch, but most of them are RAD, and you can only hear these tunes right here. Dreamin’ and schemin’ indeed!” – Red Scare Industries

This compilation came out great, but anyone who works in the music biz will tell you that working with a band can be exasperating. Now try it with 17 bands. Now try it while drunk!” – Red Scare Industries co-founder, Tobias Jeg

Tobias Jeg and Brendan Kelly founded Red Scare Industries back in 2004 so they could help some friends and lift up underground bands. The Left-leaning indie-punk operation began in San Francisco, but is essentially Chicago-based these days. With a roster boasting 50+ artists, they’ve developed several bands in the past decades, mostly traditional punk and related genres. There’s bands from Ireland, Wyoming, Paris, Scranton… young bands that sell fidget spinners at the merch table, and old bands from the lawless punk scene of the 1980’s. It’s a diverse flock. Unlike so many other entities in the music biz, this record label is proud to report that they pay band royalties on time, big or small. That’s a rarity these days, and Red Scare is well aware that it’s been surpassed by more ambitious labels, but is content knowing that they’re an ethical operation for bands that want a dependable platform.

Red Scare has released material for bands such as The Menzingers (Chamberlain Waits), Sincere Engineer (Rhombithian), The Lillingtons (Death By Television), The Copyrights (Make Sound), Sundowner (Four One Five Two), The Methadones (This Won’t Hurt…), Laura Jane Grace (Brought To Rot), Direct Hit! (Brainless God), and many more.
