Florida metal veterans Nonpoint announce their first full-length album since 2018, The Last Word, arriving in late summer 2026, and share the debut single “Is It” via an animated lyric video, available on all platforms May 8. Watch it now.

Both Nonpoint and their independent label, 361 Degrees Records, position “Is It” as their opening statement of a new era. Rather than a traditional rollout, the song debuts as a hand-drawn animated lyric video, offering a unique visual experience that complements the song’s message.

Singer Elias Soriano says, “In a world that sometimes wants to put a timestamp on creativity, The Last Word is our way of saying we’re just getting started.” On “Is It” specifically, Soriano explains: “‘Is It’ is that internal conflict where you question getting too involved. Did I push too hard? Did I ask too much? It’s that feeling of wondering if doing what you thought was right actually meant hurting the people around you.”

The album’s overall vibe is described as very heavy and carrying a new feeling, especially with the addition of guitarist Jason Zeilstra and the return of sonic textures explored on their 2018 album X. The Last Word ends an eight-year gap since a Nonpoint full-length, following the two EPs Ruthless (2021) and Heartless (2023), and the 2024 single “Underdog.”
