Soundgarden Singer Chris Cornell Dies After Concert At Age 52

Shocking news has come down that Soundgarden frontman Chris Cornell has died suddenly at age 52. The singer, guitarist and music legend had just performed with Soundgarden at a headline show at The Fox Theater, in Detroit Michigan. Details are still coming in at this time.

Cornell’s PR team has released a statement:

His wife Vicky and family were shocked to learn of his sudden and unexpected passing, and they will be working closely with the medical examiner to determine the cause. They would like to thank his fans for their continuous love and loyalty and ask that their privacy be respected at this time.”

Soundgarden were to be amongst the headliners at Rock On The Range this coming weekend in Pryor, OK. Cornell was a platinum selling solo artist, had the band Audioslave, and in 2016 reactivated his side project Temple Of The Dog. Ghost Cult extends our love and sympathy to Cornell’s family, friends, bands and fans at this time.
