Poised to continue their comeback with a ton of tour dates and festivals into 2027, Neurosis continues to strengthen their relationship with Firekeeper Alliance with an upcoming presentation in San Francisco. On Saturday, October 17 at 12:30, board members of Firekeeper Alliance and members of Neurosis will gather at Thrillhouse Records, the best independent record store in San Francisco, for a presentation about the work they are doing in Blackfeet Country. In addition to a presentation on the work, there will be a screening for the soon-to-be-released short documentary “HEAVY” – which tells the story of the Heavy Music Symposium class that is offered at Browning Public School. This news follows Steve Von Till’s recent single “iiyiikǎakimǎan” for Suicide Prevention Day. Steve and Neurosis continue to partner with Firekeeper Alliance from Fire In The Mountains Festival, which saw Neurosis perform for the first time since 2019. The band will play two sold-out shows in San Francisco at The Fillmore, supporting their album An Undying Love for A Burning World (Neurot Recordings, review here), which was released this past spring.
We are heading to San Francisco for two nights of Neurosis at the Fillmore and to share the work of FKA with the community that has been such an integral part of our story thus far.
On Saturday, October 17 at 12:30, board members of Firekeeper Alliance and members of Neurosis will gather at Thrillhouse Records for a presentation about the work we’re doing in Blackfeet Country. We will talk about our mission, the strengths-based programs we’re building, and the power of community, creativity, culture, and connection as protective factors against suicide. There will be a screening for soon-to-be-released short documentary “HEAVY”, which tells the story of Heavy Music Symposium class that is offered at Browning Public School. Additionally, we will have a table set up at both shows at The Fillmore, with some merch and information. Please stop by, say hello, get some gear, have a chat, and get a hug and/or tug from Robert. We’d love to see you.
Many thanks to our brothers in Neurosis, Thrillhouse Records, and this heavy music community.
Keep the fire burning.
