Guitarist and main songwriter Jussi says:
“False Heroes is a captivating rock anthem. The sing-along quality is perfect for a pub and for a big festival stage at the same time. False Heroes is also a versatile rock song. It’s a daring cocktail of different grooves and styles. As a songwriter I love how the different guitar and drum riffs inside the song all swim together. The different styles of grooves between the parts all fit like they were always meant to be. Just listen!”
Lyrically, “False Heroes” is a call for courage, independent thinking and standing up against false idols. It celebrates the power of saying “no” when it matters and reminds us that change begins with individuals who refuse to follow the crowd.
Frontman and lyricist Ville adds:
“The world is broken, but we can fix it together one song at a time. False Heroes is the ultimate counterculture compressed into just over two hundred seconds. It is a cannon that fires peace and community. False Heroes is dedicated to disobedience and the courage to say no. Rock music is a timeless medium of communication, and False Heroes is a peaceful weapon made for that use.”
Following the previously released singles “No Walls” and “Hammer Of Changes”, “False Heroes” continues to reveal the spirit of Thunderlust—an album built on honesty, instinct, connection and fearless self-expression. It marks the next chapter for Moon Shot: experienced, open and driven by the energy that only rock music can create when shared between band and audience.
