For the last five years Ghost Cult has covered some part or all of THE NAMM Show, the bi-annual music industry and gear convention that is a music fan’s dream come true. Not only do all of the music industry gear companies , celeb endorsers, and other music companies all get together and hang out, demo gear, and general have a good time, it makes for a great time.
Every year there are numerous concerts and special events build around all the talent coming in from all over the globe. Well one band has all-star talent all the time, permanent supergorup Metal Allegiance. And putting on an even more big-name packed show as a way to bring their recent Fallen Heroes EP (Nuclear Blast) to life all on one stage.
Opening the event is New York metallers Martyrd, followed by Ozzy/Firewind shredder Gus G. The penultimate act is guitar legend, Marty Friedman.
Finally, Metal Allegiance hit the stage, bringing an assortment of talent to jam on top of their own core of bassist Mark Menghi, guitarist Alex Skolnick, drummer Mike Portnoy and bassist David Ellefson. Star after star came ot the stage and joined for the mother of all cover tune set lists.
