Marilyn Manson has answered allegations from Evan Rachel Wood with charges of “horrific” sexual abuse, grooming and other accusations with a post to his Instagram accounts. Wood shared in her post that Manson “started grooming me when I was a teenager” and “brainwashed and manipulated me into submission..” and she wants “to expose this dangerous man and call out the many industries that have enabled him, before he ruins any more lives.”Here is what Manson posted on Monday (February 1):
“Obviously, my art and my life have long been magnets for controversy, but these recent claims about me are horrible distortions of reality. My intimate relationships have always been entirely consensual with like-minded partners. Regardless of how — and why — others are now choosing to misrepresent the past, that is the truth.”

Within hours after Wood’s allegations, Manson’s record label, Loma Vista Recordings (home to Ghost) dropped him from the label and vowed to stop promoting his current release. All of Manson’s music and merch was removed from the label website and webstore.
