Kris Barras Band has shared a new single and music video for “With You” from their album Halo Effect! Last week, band announced their intention to try to help save independent venue The Booking Hall in Dover, by booking a one-off show there this June to increase footfall and raise awareness of the plight facing the venue. The grassroots venue is at risk of permanent closure and now crowd-funding to buy their freehold with the support of the Music Venue Trust. Watch Video For New Single “With You”
Fan reaction on social media was immediate, with fans promptly highlighting other small venues around the country who feature in touring calendars less often, who could also benefit.
While not able to play every venue fans sent messages about, Kris Barras band is determined to at least hold gigs at some, and today announces a string of headline dates in Nov/Dec, deliberately venturing a little more off the beaten track.
Frontman Kris Barras says “I’m really looking forward to this tour, the UK tour we just finished was just the time of my life, and I know these rooms, these stages, and these crowds will not disappoint either. We need our grassroots venues to not only survive but thrive, and help grow today’s newer bands into tomorrow’s festival headliners, so grab a ticket and come out and help us do our bit.”

Bio: Kris Barras band:
One of modern hard rock’s most exciting breakouts in recent years, Kris Barras BAND bring all-new arena-sized grit to 2024. Their new album Halo Effect debuted at #5 in the UK official album chart on release in April 2024, rubbing shoulders with giants Beyonce and Linkin Park, as well as clinching #1 in the download chart, #1 in the independent chart and #1 in the rock and metal album chart.
Amplifying the heavier sound from their previous album Death Valley Paradise (which in itself saw four tracks added to Planet Rock’s A-list playlist), Halo Effect delivers hard-hitting riffs, soaring choruses, and fuse-lighting technical solos. Now signed to independent label Earache Records, Kris Barras BAND harness the twilight-lit melodies and stampeding force beloved by fans of Architects, Shinedown, and Alter Bridge.
After an almost-unbelievable career change from pro-MMA fighter of ten years to professional musician, Kris Barras cut his teeth in the international blues rock scene culminating in a frontman spot with supergroup Supersonic Blues Machine (featuring ZZ Top’s Billy Gibbons). In the meantime, Kris Barras BAND gravitated to a heavier sound that has sold-out tours with Black Stone Cherry, The Darkness, and Thunder at the likes of the Royal Albert Hall and Wembley Arena.
“‘Halo Effect’ still keeps the essence of what Kris Barras Band is: big riffs and even bigger choruses,” offers Kris. “It’s just that, this time, we’ve turned everything up to 11 and beefed it up!”
Kris Barras Band comprises frontman Kris Barras, Josiah J. Manning on guitar, Billy Hammett on drums, and latest member Frazer Kerslake on bass.
