Rising Modern Hardcore Metal band Knocked Loose have announced their new album, A Different Shade of Blue, due out August 23rd from Pure Noise Records. The band also dropped a new single and video for the lead track ‘…And Still, I Wander South’ which you can hear now!
Vocalist and lyricist Bryan Garris commented on the track:
“…And Still I Wander South” “is about wanting to move on, or better yourself for whatever reason, but you keep going back to the same old thing. Whether that be depression or whatever you may be going through. You always wander back to the same mindset.”
Knocked Loose, comprised of the young Cole Crutchfield (rhythm guitar), Bryan Garris (vocals), Isaac Hale (lead guitar), Kevin Otten (bass) and Kevin Kaine (drums), have taken a huge leap, moving from upstart hardcore-influenced favorites to bonafide key figures of the genre. Their 2016 debut, Laugh Tracks was a revelation, taking the world by storm and establishing the band as a major force spanning genres and generations.
A Different Shade of Blue is due on TKTKTK via Pure Noise Records this August 23. For further info and pre-order details, visit here.

“…And Still I Wander South” Lyrics:
I spent so much time focused on the difference
Eclipsed by the shadows of my past
Nothing will sustain
Nothing is built to last
There’s a hole in the dark
Where the waters rest
No waves in a grave
In a grave unkept
As above so below
Lost inside this hole
My mouth is a drain
Where no water flows
A jaded infatuation
Nothing more
I need lightening to strike in the same place twice
I cast out a prayer for wings
Anything to remove this vice
Trapped in my head
Where the waters rest
Ive spent so much of my life
Trying to get out
And still I wonder south
