King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard drop the video for their new single, “Level 5,” the lead track from their 28th studio album, Alien Metal, on August 28, 2026, released through their own independent label, p(doom) Records, and announce four New York City shows at Forest Hills Stadium and Under the K Bridge this August. “Level 5” marks a bold departure, even by King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard standards. Driven by Eurorack synthesizers, breakbeats, and vocoders, the track leans hard into electronic dance music territory while retaining the band’s restless, forward-hurtling energy. The official video was directed by Hayden Somerville and features iconic Australian actor Vince Colosimo. Alien Metal is the band’s 28th studio album, continuing its relentless release schedule in modern rock.

The band’s Field of Vision Festival, their own curated camping and rock-and-roll event at Meadow Creek in Buena Vista, Colorado, on August 14 through 16, is already sold out. The lineup includes Blood Incantation, Jello Biafra, La Luz, Upchuck, W.I.T.C.H., Moktar, Earth Tongue, Jay Weinberg’s Drum Clinic, Die Spitz, DJ Boogie Boudreaux, DJ Crenshaw, and many more, with King Gizzard performing every day of the festival.

Following Field of Vision, the band bring the party to New York City for four shows across two formats: rock shows at Forest Hills Stadium on August 20 and 21 with support from Die Spitz and DJ Crenshaw, and rave shows at Forest Hills Stadium on August 22 and Under the K Bridge on August 23.
