As we previously reported, members of the metal community will be gathering in New Orleans for a special weekend of shows in February to raise money for Mike IX Williams. Mike recently announced that he is on the donor list for a liver transplant, and the front man needs our help. His wife started a YouCaring crowdfunding campaign to help with the medical expenses, and thanks to support from his friends in and out of the scene, it has already raised over $69,000 of the $150,000 goal. Even though it’s incredible to see the outpouring of love for Mike on this campaign, more money is needed, and hopefully these benefit shows will help narrow that gap.
