Through the 3-minute Nirvana cover extreme metal stalwart Neve flexes his compositional chops; converting the punky grunge classic into a metal beatdown. “From my early teens I have battled with being different; dressing differently and listening to different music to other young people – I was targeted for it! This didn’t help my mental health, I never received the help and support I needed. I used music as an escape and it helped me through some very hard times.” he states. “I’ve decided to cover some of the songs that helped me through those dark days in the hope that they can help others. My versions have a more metal feel as they have all been recorded in drop E!“
The track was performed, recorded and mixed at Glynn’s home studio (affectionately referred to as ‘the padded cell’); with guitar-work contributed by Vesicarum eight-stringer Jack Buckley and mastering by Graham Waller.
