Former Train and Days of the New Bassist Charlie Colin Has Died


Charlie Colin, best known as the founding bassist of the pop Rock band Train has died. He was 58 years old. According to a published report from TMZ, Charlie slipped and fell in the shower while house-sitting for a friend in Brussels, Belgium. He died tragically from his injuries. No word yet on what caused the fall. Charlie has formed Train after graduating from Berklee College of Music and trying to strike out in music with several bands. He was a member of Train from 1993 – 2003, performing on their biggest hits such as “Drops of Jupiter.” Charlie was also the one-time touring bassist of Days Of The New and many other bands, both in the studio and on the road. He was living in Brussels, teaching music at a conservatory, as well as scoring music for films. RIP.
