Fishbone Drops “Secret Police” Video Ahead of Summer Circus Tour

Just ahead of their forthcoming tour, Los Angeles legends Fishbone have returned with fire. The genre-smashing pioneers just released the video for “Secret Police,” a blistering visual companion to the track off their latest album Stockholm Syndrome. It’s a raw, visceral, and unapologetically confrontational video. It’s a gut-punch indictment of ICE brutality, racial injustice, and American hypocrisy, a reminder that protest music is alive, necessary, and urgent. Watch the video below.

In a statement about the song, Fishbone’s Chris Dowd explains:

“The protestors being run over in Charlottesville, Breonna Taylor, a 4-year-old girl dead trying to cross the border… Kyle Rittenhouse on camera ending two lives and walking free—”Secret Police” was born out of that tipping point.”

Directed with stark realism, the video dares viewers to question why skin color still determines the difference between freedom and fatality in the United States. More than a protest anthem, “Secret Police” is a sledgehammer to complacency, wrapped in Fishbone’s trademark fusion of funk, punk, and fearless expression.

Fronted by the iconic Angelo Moore alongside longtime collaborator Christopher Dowd, Fishbone’s revitalized lineup includes James Jones (bass), Hassan Hurd (drums), John “JS” Williams II (trumpet/vocals), and the return of Tracey “Spacey T” Singleton (guitar). Their chemistry on Stockholm Syndrome is undeniable—and now, they’re taking it on the road.

Fishbone once again joins forces with Less Than JakeThe Suicide MachinesCatbite, and Bite Me Bambi for the second leg of the Summer Circus Tour, spanning 17 cities. Plus, they’ll appear on select Vans Warped Tour dates, including a highly anticipated stop in Long Beach.
