FESTIVAL NEWS: Slipknot, Till Lindemann (Rammstein), Knocked Loose, Hatebreed, Poison The Well, Gwar, Vended, Dying Wish, and More Set to Perform at Knotfest Iowa Today


Knotfest Iowa is upon us. Today the globally renowned event has revealed its 2024 lineup including the hometown return of Slipknot, the festival’s headliner and founders.  With a unique set drawing heavily from their 1999 debut, Slipknot will celebrate 25 years of the self-titled album along with their fans, in the band’s birthplace of Iowa.  The band just played their first two shows with their new lineup in California outside of a small bar and at Sick New World Festival!

In addition to Slipknot, the fest features Till Lindemann from Rammstein, Kentucky’s vibrant hardcore/metal forerunners Knocked Loose, metalcore influencers Hatebreed and Poison The Well, heavy metal icons GWAR, Des Moines natives Vended, in addition to Dying Wish, Zulu, Twin Temple, Holy Wars, Swollen Teeth and Spine & Dose. Taking place at Waterworks Park, in Des Moines on September 21st.

SLIPKNOT MUSEUM: 

Knotfest Iowa is thrilled to debut a revamped Knotfest Museum celebrating Slipknot’s 25 year career – a staple at Knotfests all over the world. The museum experience will be a fully immersive, emotional journey featuring never before seen items including playable guitars, basses and drums used by the band on stage and in the studio, interactive road cases carrying band memorabilia, Paul Gray’s bass cab, engaging album cover photo ops, instruments used on the recording of ‘Iowa’, iconic wardrobe pieces new and old and much more. The revamped Knotfest museum will submerge you in the rich tapestry of Slipknot’s lore and embrace you into the Knotfest family. A limited amount of tickets are on sale now for $25 now through September 20th. KICK OFF EVENTS:

Des Moines’ Zombie Burger will be featuring a special KNOTFEST 2024 menu bringing the intensity of the festival to your plate. A list of the establishment’s favorite Slipknot songs inspired a culinary slew of outrageous new menu items. From the DISASTERPIECE Des Moines chopped cheese sandwich and the DUALITY southern-fried all-vegan burger to KILLPOP chicken wings, HIVE MIND honey ginger cocktail made with Slipknot #9 Iowa Whiskey and much more, Zombie Burger’s KNOTFEST menu deliciously honor Iowa’s own metal legends. The menu will run from September 6 through September 25 at their downtown location (300 E Grand Ave, Des Moines, IA 50309).

Slipknot takes over The Slaughterhouse Haunted House in Downtown Des Moines (500 Locust St, Des Moines, IA 50309) on Friday, September 20 for an unparalleled experience featuring Slipknot memorabilia and decor. Fans will be guided through the twisted corridors of The Slaughterhouse by one of the members of Slipknot. Afterwards there will be a dedicated meet and greet and photo op with a member of Slipknot, plus a pop-up Slipknot merchandise stand feature exclusive items available for purchase and much more. Des Moines heavy hitters Vended are set to release their self-titled debut album on the eve of Knotfest. To celebrate the band will host a release day meet and greet on Friday, September 20 at Goldeneye Curations (313 E 5th St #100, Des Moines, IA) to sign records and merchandise.
