“Blinding Skies” follows the previously released title track and continues to build the picture of Death Mask Messiah as Exumer‘s most direct and aggressive record in years. The video was directed by René Bogdanski.

Co-founding vocalist Mem Von Stein confirms the intent: “We are a lot more aggressive than on Hostile Defiance and are returning to a more ‘in your face’ style on Death Mask Messiah. We’re furthering the process that began with our first offering for Metal Blade, 2012’s Fire and Damnation, where we wanted to sound like a contemporary band while maintaining the spirit and our musical heritage of the 1980s.”

Death Mask Messiah was produced by Dominic Paraskevopoulos, known for his work with Kreator and Caliban, and mixed and mastered by Arthur Rizk, known for his work with Soulfly and King Diamond. The album marks Exumer‘s first new studio output in seven years, featuring eleven ferocious tracks and closing with a cover of “Unchained Angel” by Nasty Savage featuring Nasty Ronnie himself.
