Extinction A.D. Drop a Cover of Alice Cooper’s “Feed My Frankenstein”

Just in time for Halloween, thrash/hardcore squad, Extinction A.D., have unleashed a cover of the classic Alice Cooper anthem, “Feed My Frankenstein.” It comes with an official lyric video. Watch it below.

“I’m sure every band has spent hours in the van BS-ing about, “wouldn’t it be cool if we covered this song?” Anytime we’ve done that, ‘Feed My Frankenstein’ would come up half as a gag. We all grew up with and love the movie Wayne’s World that this song appears in and the placement of it in that movie is rad. Once this ‘one single a month’ idea came up, we knew we wanted to do a cover for October in the spirit of Halloween and we humped at making this the choice after years of joking about it,” explains singer/guitarist Rick Jimenez. “Adding a bit of our flavor to this song with the heaviness of the guitars and my spin vocally, while adding the keyboards in a faithful way was absolutely ridiculous and super fun. So much of what we do musically is deadly serious so it was enjoyable to do something purely lighthearted.”

The digital single and an accompanying lyric video are online now, giving metalheads everywhere the ultimate soundtrack for graveyard parties, haunted houses, and headbanging in the dark.

Known for their high-octane energy and relentless aggression, Extinction A.D. injects a heavy, modern dose of adrenaline into the iconic Cooper cut—proving that this legendary monster still needs plenty of feeding.

Now in the 9th month of the ‘one single a month’ approach Extinction A.D. have taken this year “Feed My Frankenstein” joins these other tracks for a wealth of heavy new high-octane music.

More from Extinction A.D.:
Formed on Long Island, New York breaking off of This Is Hell, Extinction A.D. is a bridge between the worlds of ‘80s thrash metal and ‘90s hardcore. Known for their explosive live shows and unrelenting work ethic, the band continues to redefine the crossover genre for a new generation of metalheads.

Since 2013 the band has grown from raw underground roots to sharing stages with respected acts and carving out a distinct voice in the modern metal landscape forging a reputation for relentless crossover thrash infused with hardcore urgency and socially charged lyrics.

Earlier releases, on labels like Good Fight and Unique Leader, further showcased the band’s capability to merge fierce riff work with emotional and thematic depth. Their output has drawn comparisons to powerful East Coast thrash and hardcore hybrids, with critics praising their raw energy and ability to keep the classic thrash ethos alive while pushing it forward. Thrashing just as hard as their predecessors, the band also break their surroundings down and deliver some heavy as hell riotous mosh; hitting that all-important sweet spot mixture of ‘80s thrash, ‘90s extreme metal and New York hardcore, all encompassed into one. Never afraid to speak their minds amidst a divisive world, Extinction A.D. bring a decisive power to match their frenetic energy. The endgame is not just rebellion but revolution.
