San Antonio, Texas Post Metal band The Grasshopper Lies Heavy finishes the year releasing a new single entitled Indifference Apocalypse as part of their new split with the band WOORMS called Various Plants and Animals Under Domestication. The video showcases esoteric images of some of the United States social and political events from recent times. “’Indifference Apocalypse’ is a song we wrote while the pandemic was at its most lethal. It’s about the frustration of watching America’s “leadership” fail repeatedly while civil unrest was coming to a peak as cities burned and our fellow citizens demanded justice for the failures of our system. As the world fell apart around us, all I felt from our leadership was indifference. Like the old adage and Simpsons reference “We’ve tried nothing and we’re all out of ideas”, America’s government’s complete inability to fix anything meaningful about our broken system was the main inspiration for the lyrical content of this song and visuals for this music video.”
