Daron Beck, Vocalist and Keyboardist for Pinkish Black, Has Died

Sad news as Pinkish Black vocalist and keyboardist Daron Beck has died. The announcement of his passing came from their former label, Relapse Records on social media. No cause of death has been specifically noted, the post stated he passed from a “medical illness.” Pinkish Black released five albums in eleven years, most recently Vanishing Light in the Tunnel of Dreams (Ayler Records) in 2020. Many bands joined the label in paying respects. We extend our deepest condolences to Beck’s friends, family, bandmate Jon Teague, and fans.

“We at Relapse Records are saddened by the loss of Daron Beck of Pinkish Black and Zombi and Friends from a medical illness. Daron was a kind, tremendously funny, and gentle soul that made some of the most creative and compelling music ever released on Relapse Records. Our hearts go out to his partner Lisa, mom Debbie, bandmate Jon, and everyone else that was lucky enough to cross paths with him.”
