Cliff Burton Day 2024 was this weekend and marked the 8th annual Cliff Burton Day, celebrating Clifford Lee Burton, the late Metallica legend and Rock and Roll Hall of Famer.  The day was officially declared by Cliff’s hometown of Castro Valley and the greater Alameda County in 2018. Cliff would have turned 63 today, on February 10th, 2025. This year’s event was held at The Castro Theater and hosted by YouTuber Gomez Grip and Connie Burton on Saturday, February, 8th! There was a Q & A and bands like Metallica tribute band Damage Incorporated! Metallica themselves shared a tribute to Cliff today!
