Only 15 months removed from the release of The Stage, and its expansive stream of singles, covers and a deluxe edition, Avenged Sevenfold is already plotting a course for a new album. Frontman M. Shadows indicated in an interview with ABC Radio that the band is in writing mode now, and gave a potential timeline for hitting the studio.
“Maybe October, November we’ll start thinking about getting together and just throwing ideas around. We usually don’t even write anything the first few weeks, we just kinda talk and show each other things: ‘Here’s some chords, here’s some ideas, what do we want this thing to sound like?’ So that’s still in the early stages. But it’s exciting.”
The band is still trying to resolve its 2015 lawsuit brought by former record label Warner Brothers for breach of Contract. A7X released the stage on Capitol Records.
