At the Metal Hammer Awards this weekend, Ghost’s Tobias Forge (a.k.a. Papa Emeritus III) announced that their new album would be finished next spring. The next album from the band will be one of the most-anticipated releases of 2018. Details below.
Forge, in the guise of A Nameless Ghoul, commented:
“We’ve been in the studio for about a month now,. And by the end of the year, if everything goes according to plan—knock, knock—we’re gonna have a new album, not out, but we’re gonna have a new recorded and mixed and delivered. And hopefully that means that we’re gonna have a new album out by April—possibly, hopefully.”
The new Ghost album will be the follow up to their last full-length album, 2014’s Meliora (Loma Vista), which was the Ghost Cult Album of the Year and 2016’s Popestar EP which spawned the worldwide charting hit ‘Square Hammer’.
