Well-Known Guitarists Who Have Been Lucky At Casinos

Those involved in music, and more specifically heavy metal and rock and roll, have become renowned over the years for enjoying life to its maximum. And it’s become clear that many a guitarist from these genres have and continue to live this way, which has seen quite a few hit casinos. But how many of them, and more specifically who, have been lucky by doing so?

Lemmy Kilmister

There’s only one place to start, and that’s with Ian Kilmister, more commonly known as Lemmy. Kilmister could do it all in terms of playing the guitar, but the Brit was best known for being the founder of the hit rock band Motorhead. Kilmister penned Ace of Spades, one of Motorhead’s most prominent tracks, and it was, of course, gambling inspired. Card games and the like weren’t his bag, but slots were, which is fitting because anyone playing online slots games can spin the reels of the branded Motorhead game.

Scott Ian

Scott Ian is one of the founding members of the thrash metal band Anthrax and the only one who still performs as part of the group. As well as being a guitarist, the fifty-nine-year-old is also an accomplished lyricist, author and vocalist. But, away from music, Ian has another keen interest: poker. For Ian, poker became that much of a passion, he did consider taking up the game more seriously and effectively becoming a professional gambler, but he chose to stick with music in the end. However, he remains a keen poker player still to this day.

Paul Daniel

People may not recognise the name Paul Daniel immediately because he’s better known as Ace Frehley, a founding member of the heavy metal band Kiss. As far as being a heavy metal guitarist goes, Daniel is considered a legend and a pioneer, and he’s also held in high regard for the lyrics he produced over the years too. Like Scott Ian, Daniel also enjoyed poker alongside his musical escapades, and this was evidenced by his appearance in multiple tournaments, such as VH1’s Celebrity Rock and Roll Tournament. Like Motorhead, there’s also a hit casino game dedicated to Kiss.

Salvatore Erna

Salvatore Erna, who most people know as Sully, played the guitar as part of the American heavy metal rock band Godsmack. Like everyone other musician mentioned on this list, Erna’s reputation is a stellar one within the industry for his ability and achievements, and also, like everyone else on this list, he’s no strange to casinos. Many others have and continue to have a passion for poker, but Erna took his love a step further by appearing at the World Series of Poker tournaments. Erna even went as far as dedicating a large back tattoo to the events of a poker game he was involved in.

It may seem as though being a music artist and playing at casinos go hand in hand because of the wealth and the free time available. However, as you can see from those musicians mentioned above, they actually have a passion for casino games such as poker, which is telling.
