Rage Against the Machine‘s Tim Commerford teamed up with Laurent Grangeon and Mathias Wakrat last year to create the pissed off, alt-punk-influenced Wakrat, and the guys are streaming their debut album online right now. As Tim Commerford has previously told Rolling Stone, “This is the kind of music that I grew up on and always wanted to do. It’s the same feeling as 1991 when Rage Against the Machine first started playing. It felt uncomfortable and doesn’t feel right, and I love that feeling.” He went on to add, “I haven’t played in a band that’s this uptempo and punk and furious, but this is me.”
Wakrat will be unleashing this furious record on Friday thanks to Earache Records, but the label has made it available to stream online today. Blast it over and over and over below, and if you dig what you hear, pre-order Wakrat’s debut right here!
