Swedish death metal institution Vomitory will unleash their new full-length, In Death Throes, on April 10th via Metal Blade Records. Formed in 1989, the band released eight crushing albums between 1996 and 2011, then disbanded in 2013. They returned in 2019 to celebrate their 30th anniversary and followed with their acclaimed 2023 comeback record, All Heads Are Gonna Roll. Now, three years later, Vomitory return with what promises to be their most intense offering yet. Today, the band unleashes the first single, “For Gore And Country.”

Gustafsson describes the track:
“‘For Gore And Country’ charges forward relentlessly just like the rotting hordes in the lyrics do. Starting with a classic Vomitory grind, diving into a headbanging party, then exploding again into grind and D-beat turmoil. Oh wait! Another headbanging party towards the end! For gore and country, we endure!”
Gustafsson explains the album:
“‘In Death Throes’ picks up where All Heads Are Gonna Roll left off, but we’ve turned the intensity up a notch. [New guitarist] Christian quickly found his place and even contributed music to four killer tracks. These additions bring diversity without straying too far from the formula.”
Recording took place across multiple studios in late 2025. Drums and vocals were tracked at Leon Music Studios in Karlstad with producer Rikard Löfgren, who previously worked with the band on Terrorize Brutalize Sodomize, Carnage Euphoria, and Opus Mortis VIII. Guitars and bass were recorded at Goff Studios, while mixing and mastering were handled by Lawrence Mackrory at Rorysound Studios in Uppsala. The result is a crushing yet dynamic production.
Artwork once again comes from Giannis Nakos of Remedy Art Design, with layout by Seiya Ogino of Ogino Design.
