Vio-Lence Announces Fill-In Players for Upcoming Shows

Bay Area thrash legends Vio-Lence has announced that Adrian Aguilar (Exmortus) to play drums for the band following Perry Strickland’s departure from the band. Aguilar will make his live debut with Vio-Lence this Saturday, February 25 at the Whisky A Go Go in West Hollywood, California. In addition. The band announced that guitarist Phil Demmel will be unable to participate in the group’s shows in Asia, Australia, and New Zealand in early March and will be temporarily replaced by Miles Dimitri Baker (Voidbringer, Interloper, Ex-Rings Of Saturn).

 

Vio-Lence’s current lineup includes singer Sean Killian, bassist Christian Olde Wolbers (Powerflo, ex-Fear Factory), and guitarist Ira Black (Vicious Rumors, Heathen, Metal Church). The band has had numerous lineup changes since their initial comeback show in 2019, including the departures Strickland, bassist Deen Dell, guitarist Ray Vegas, and Vegas’ replacement – Bobby Gufstason (ex-Overkill) who departed due to logistical issues. The band dropped their comeback release, Let The World Burn EP, via Metal Blade Records in March 2022. The band is working on a full-length album for a future release.

 

Demmel has spearheaded the band along with Killian, but occasionally misses gigs due to other commitments. Check out our interview with Phil:
