Meshuggah announced earlier this month that guitarist Fredrik Thordendal is taking a break from touring, and Scar Symmetry‘s Per Nilsson would be filling the void on their upcoming tour dates. The band kicked off those new dates with Megadeth this past weekend here in New York, and while it’s weird not see Fredrik’s presence in the lights, the band still sounds as powerful as ever.
