Jeff “Mantas” Dunn, is one of the founders of Venom and Venom Inc. He made the difficult decision to step down permanently in December 2024 due to health and personal reasons. This followed his hiatus in May 2024 after experiencing a second heart attack. During this time, Curran Murphy stepped in to fill Mantas’s shoes for live performances, debuting with the band at the Hammersonic Festival in Jakarta on May 5, 2024.
Murphy, known for his work with Annihilator, Nevermore, and his current project 72 Legions, quickly won over fans with his technical prowess and commanding stage presence. His seamless integration into Venom Inc.’s dynamic has now culminated in his official induction into the lineup. the band is rounded out by new drummer, Marc Jackson, who takes over from Jeramie Kling who departed in 2024.
Murphy’s addition comes just as Venom Inc. embarks on their current U.S. tour, dubbed the “Beyond the Black” tour. With fellow heavy metalers, Salem’s Childe. Venom Inc. has released two albums under this name, Avé in 2017 and There’s Only Black in 2022.
