Drawing inspiration from Eddie Van Halen, Paul Gilbert, Angus Young, Fast Eddie Clarke, Frank Marino and Ted Nugent, Vanik shares his approach to guitar playing and tone crafting; “Feel is crucial. When I lightly touch the strings, they should respond with very low gain. If I play hard, the gain should increase accordingly. I don’t want anything to boost or reinforce what’s not there. My tone should be purely an extension of my guitar at a much louder volume. I focused heavily on touch when working on these sounds. I spent a lot of time playing the guitar at different dynamic ranges until the tone was just right. Then, I cranked the amp to achieve its full potential in terms of tube growl, sag, and other nuances. This tone pack is for confident guitar players who aren’t afraid to show their flaws. These tones are very honest, much like playing through a basic Marshall at a super loud volume. It’s dynamic. If that’s what you’re looking for, this is for you.”
