“I Dragged Us In” is a compelling song that delves into the complexities of a lustful entanglement. The lyrics artfully narrate a partner’s initial hesitancy to commit to a scandalous affair, touching upon the universal struggle between desire and rationality. The song culminates with a sense of accountability as it declares, “I Dragged Us In,” taking responsibility for the mess created. It’s a powerful exploration of personal choices and their consequences. What sets “I Dragged Us In” apart is the fact that it features the main riff entirely composed by drummer Michael Cisterna. He initially crafted the riff while living in Toronto, and after a few years, the band reworked it to fit their distinctive style, building the entire song around it. This creative process adds a unique dimension to the track and showcases the band’s collaborative spirit.
