Already flying high on the strength of their Metal Resistance (Sony/RAL) album and first world tour in 2016 and global hit record, BABYMETAL scores another big move. Now the metal/J-pop hybrid band will open Guns `N Roses forthcoming 2017 tour of Japan.
BABYMETAL’s SU-METAL commented:
“I am really happy that we’ve been confirmed as support on the upcoming Guns N’ Roses tour. And it’s happening in Japan!! We’re going to create a live performance that shows how wonderful Japan is together with everyone in the audience on that tour.”
The tour kicks off on Saturday, January 21, 2017 at Kyocera Dome in Osaka. Expected to sell out completely, the upcoming tour for GNR is their first in 10 years and over 20 years since the original lineup of the band toured there. All dates are below:

Among their accolades in 2016 BABYMETAL’s album charted in the Top 40 of the US Billboard chart making BABYMETAL the first Japanese artist in 53 years to have made the charts and second in the history of Japanese artists. headlined THE SSE, WEMBLEY (aka Wembley Arena) as well as performing with the Metal God Rob Halford of Judas Priest. They recently had their biggest show ever performing in front of 110,000 people over a span of 2 days at the prestigious Tokyo Dome. They are heading out on tour next week with Red Hot Chili Peppers in UK within the next few days.
