Vocalist Dustin Boltjes explains the track: “I wrote this one because I really wanted to add a song to the record that had more of a darkwave influence to it. And as I was finishing it, the vibe felt really grimy and kind of sleazy. So, when it came time to write the lyrics, I kept thinking about the ‘casual encounters’ section of Craigslist. I used to love reading those ads and thinking about the type of people who were likely writing them. So, this song is about that. The anonymity of entering a world of secret sexual fantasies and the mysterious double lives that people will live in an effort to delve into their darkest desires.”

The video was directed by John Bradburn. Treble, which premiered the video, described “Meet Me After Midnight” as “an eerie, synth-driven track that pairs a sleek post-punk energy with the icy rhythmic pulse of dancefloor darkwave,” and named Pins and Needles one of the best goth releases of 2026 so far.

Pins and Needles was engineered by The Secrecy, mixed by Tyler Watkins, mastered by Corey Miller, and completed with art and layout by Ryan Dunn. The members also play in Flesher, Chrome Waves, Bringers of Disease, Isolation Drills, En Dive, and more. Disorder Recordings is operated by the band’s own Jeff Wilson.
