My Kingdom Music have just announced a record deal with Italian heavy metal/horror rock/post-punk band, The Mugshots. This collaboration will spawn the band’s new album, Gloomy, Eerie And Weird, due to be released in spring 2026. Find out more below.
The band’s Mickey E. Vil, commented on this moment: “I have to admit, I’m really thrilled to begin this new adventure with My Kingdom Music and start this journey with them towards the release of Gloomy, Eerie And Weird. Priest and I have dedicated practically the last two years to producing and arranging this album, and in the end, I feel that every note, every mood, every single nuance couldn’t have been captured and represented better. It’s one of those times when you’re 101% satisfied, and I can’t wait to share what we’ve realized with those who have followed us for years, but also with all those who will be exploring the world of The Mugshots for the first time.”
Gloomy, Eerie And Weird is an incredible work more than anything else for its sound, son of the guitarist Priest‘s production and Dan Swanö‘s mind-blowing mastering at Unisound Studio, then for the guests from all over the world who indelibly enrich the album (guests who will be introduced to you in the coming days), and above all for the characteristics of the journey they do in this output which, between darkness, irony and vision, confirms a band with its own identity so unique in the international rock scene to be incomparable.
Founded in 2001 by Mickey, the project’s sole permanent member and main songwriter, The Mugshots are the first and only European band to be produced by Dick Wagner, a longtime collaborator of Alice Cooper and Lou Reed. Their music combines the power of British punk with the theatricality of dark rock and influences of horror films, creating a distinctive, distinctive and powerfully narrative sound. Over the years, The Mugshots have built a solid international reputation, sharing the stage with legends such as The Stranglers, The Damned, UK Subs, Eddie and the Hot Rods, Goblin, Enrico Ruggeri and many others. Their activity has been supported by cult figures such as California DJ Rodney Bingenheimer and Alice Cooper (who recommended their music on his show Nights With Alice Cooper). Furthermore, the band has collaborated with world-famous artists such as Mike Browning (Morbid Angel/Nocturnus), Matt Malley (Counting Crows), Steve Sylvester (Death SS), Clive Jones (Black Widow), Baz Warne (The Stranglers), Mantas (Venom), Attila Csihar (Mayhem) and Mortiis.
