Emo rock revivalists, The Funeral Portrait, have unveiled their latest single, “Hearse For Two,” featuring Lilith Czar. With themes of loss and love, the song, with its official video, comes just ahead of Valentine’s Day. It is taken from their second album, Greetings From Suffocate City, which arrived September 2024, via Better Noise Music records. Check it out below.

““Hearse for Two” is one of the most personal and emotional songs we’ve ever written,” says singer Lee Jennings. “The track captures the intensity of love and loss, and having Lilith Czar join us on this journey brought an entirely new depth to the song. Her raw energy and powerful presence in both the recording and the music video perfectly complement the story we’re telling. We’re so proud to share this collaboration,” adds Jennings, “and hope it resonates deeply with everyone who watches and listens.”
Lilith Czar is thrilled to join The Funeral Portrait on the epic song, the final track on Greetings From Suffocate City. “After speaking with Lee and learning the story behind “Hearse For Two,” my heart ached for the depth of loss and love it carried, and I felt a profound responsibility to deliver my absolute best in the studio. I understand heartbreak and the kind of loss that leaves a void you’re not sure can ever be filled, so singing alongside The Funeral Portrait felt like a catharsis— a chance to channel that pain into something meaningful.”
Greetings From Suffocate City consists of 14 tracks of theatrical, dramatic, unapologetic, full-throated flair with guest appearances from Bert McCracken of The Used, Spencer Charnas of Ice Nine Kills, Danny Worsnop of Asking Alexandria, and Amanda Lyberg of Eva Under Fire. In celebration of Valentine’s Day, The Funeral Portrait will unveil an exclusive and highly limited release of Greetings From Suffocate City on blood-filled vinyl. Dubbed the Bloody Valentine Edition, this rare collector’s item will be available exclusively through the band’s official webstore at www.TheFuneralPortraitMerch.com. The release will be accompanied by a special merchandise drop, offering The Coffin Crew additional collectibles to complement this unique vinyl. The launch is set for 12:00 AM EST on February 14th, making this a midnight event fans won’t want to miss.
Last November The Funeral Portrait landed the #1 spot on Billboard’s Mainstream Rock Airplay and Mediabase’s Active Rock radio charts with their hit single “Suffocate City” feat. Spencer Charnas of Ice Nine Kills (https://youtu.be/B_hbmWMEGts). This marks the band’s first-ever #1 radio single and first entry onto any Billboard chart. The single has garnered over 6.5 million streams globally and over 600k views for its prom-themed music video. “Holy Water” is the band’s latest single that’s blowing up the radio airwaves now. Meanwhile, Pandora named The Funeral Portrait as one of their “Artists to Watch 2025: The Pandora Ten,” which spotlights a group of ten emerging artists across all genres that it believes will break through in the coming year.
In touring news, after a robust tour season in 2024 supporting the likes of Five Finger Death Punch and The Hu, The Funeral Portrait will continue bringing their message to the masses with an aggressive touring plan for 2025. The band is on the road now throughout the U.S. and Canada, with shows that launched yesterday (February 6) in Seattle, WA at The Crocodile.
