The Frst Shares a Brutal New Single “$ocial Media $uicide (ft. Taylor Barber of Left to Suffer)”

Indie rockers The Frst is debuting “$ocial Media $uicide”, an energetic and angsty Metalcore anthem featuring Taylor Barber of Left to Suffer and produced by Matt Browning (ENMY, Wake Up Hate). The single boasts an anthemic chorus, brutal screams, and djent rhythms with industrial elements. Check out the track here!

Mixed by Sweden’s MO Metal (Nik Nocturnal) and Mastered by Multi-Platinum Sam Moses (Underoath, Haste the Day, Jelly Roll), The Frst lyrically delves into topics of societal and cultural influence on modern life, ultimately championing the concept that ‘choosing happiness is the most rebellious thing you can do in modern society.’

As vocalist Mikei Gray explains, “During the making of this record, Taylor lost a close friend of his and the world lost Trap-Metal legend Adam Ramey (Dropout Kings) to themselves…I wanted to do something to raise awareness that the corporate world profits from your sadness…Give life a chance, if nothing else just to defy expectations…”

$ocial Media $uicide follows on the heels of The Frst’s “This Never Happened,” an album containing two songs to reach the Top 50 of iTunes (Rock Songs), and earn the band a full page review from Guitar World. (Listen Here).
