The punk rabble-rousers, The Chisel, have announced their highly new album, What A F*cking Nightmare, will be out February 9th from Pure Noise Records. It was recorded by John Atkinson and produced by Jonah Falco (Chubby & The Gang, High Vis, Home Front). They have also shared lead single, “F*ck ‘Em,” along with its own video. Check it out below.

Vocalist Cal Graham discussed the new song saying, “the song’s about people who talk but don’t have much to say: gobshites and over-opinionated knobheads.”
The livewire track follows previous single “Cry Your Eyes Out,” and highlights the band’s ability to channel catchiness and ferocity in equal measure.
Emerging from the London punk scene, The Chisel have gained worldwide recognition as one of the most exciting new bands in the genre today. While their sound is rooted in aggression, it’s their ability to pack a melodic punch that’s allowed them to stand out from the pack. Across a whopping 16 tracks, What A F*cking Nightmare hones The Chisel into the keenest and most effective version of themselves. Graham’s bluntly powerful lyrics paint vignettes of everyday frustrations, class divisions, exploitive authority figures, and the camaraderie of finding like-minded people in a tumultuous world. The result is a truly essential punk album that grabs the listeners by the head and never lets go.

More from The Chisel:
Some things never go out of style. The Chisel have a sound that’s as timeless as it is exhilarating. Now on their sophomore album, What A F*cking Nightmare, the band somehow cranks the dial further into the red. The heart of their sound draws on elements of old school hardcore, UK82, and other corners of aggressive punk, but it’s The Chisel’s ability to pack a melodic punch that makes them stand out from the pack. Graham’s biting-yet-tuneful delivery is key to the band’s ability to swing from eye-bulging street punk ragers to triumphant singalongs that even the most faint-of-heart rock and roll fan couldn’t help but enjoy.
What A F*cking Nightmare is the kind of album that reminds listeners of all the things that are so impactful and enduring about punk music: there’s a vitality to these songs, tangible sweat, blood, and bootprints that leave a mark long after they’re done. As the final track “What I See” brings the album to a close with a rousing cacophony of blown-out guitars and a single piano chord being hammered like life depends on it, there’s absolutely no doubt that this is The Chisel’s world–and we’re just living in it.
