Ghost will be the primary sponsor for Currey’s No. 4 Chevrolet — a/k/a the “Papa 4 car” — to be unveiled at the United Rentals 200 at Phoenix Raceway on Saturday, March 12—exactly one day after the release of the band’s hotly anticipated new album, Impera (Loma Vista Recordings). Watch Ghost Perform New Songs and Classics at Their Tour Kickoff Date in Reno
Ghost kicked off their new tour of the United States in Reno, Nevada tonight (January 25th, 2022) with Volbeat and Twin Temple. Ghost Cult was in attendance and it was an amazing good time with great music, excellent production value in a good setting at the Reno Events Center. In addition to their many hits, Ghost debuted the appearance of Papa Emeritus IV, seen in his full new costume during “Year Zero,” the live debut of the new steampunk Nameless Ghouls and Ghoulettes, and performed several brand new songs and songs performed for the first time ever including “Imperium,” “Kaisariong,” and their cover of Metallica’s classic “Enter Sandman.” They didn’t not perform their latest single – the just released “Call Me Little Sunshine” from their upcoming new album, Impera (Loma Vista Recordings). Ghost has shared a brand new single, the sinister sounding “Call Me Little Sunshine!” The new single comes from their just announced new album, Impera, due out on March 11th via Loma Vista Recordings. Ghost Introduces Papa Emeritus IV at Their Final Concert of the “Prequelle” Tour Cycle
As long predicted by Ghost Cult, Ghost introduced Papa Emeritus IV at the final date on the Prequelle World Tour in Mexico City. The new character who will front the band during its next album cycle. No word yet if we have seen the end of Cardinal Copia as he was, but it seems he was promoted to Papa IV. Papa Nihil, Saxophone player live and character in all of Ghost’s recent videos has apparently died or been killed off. Tobias Forge performed as a “new” Papa Emeritus on each of the band’s first three LPs, with each version of Papa replacing the one that came before it. Papa Emeritus III was retired in favor of Cardinal Copia before the release of 2018’s “Prequelle” album. Video footage and photos of the big reveal can be seen below. Ghost Hints At A New EP For 2019 Release
Ghost riding high off a huge year, releasing the worldwide smash album Prequelle (Spinefarm), and headline tours of Europe and the USA have even more in store for next year. In addition to a full tour of Europe with Metallica, frontman Cardinal Copia, a.k.a. Tobia Forge hinted at an already recorded new EP ready for release. The band has interspersed all of their major full-length albums with EP’s of originals and carefully chosen covers. There is also a possible DVD/concert film release possible according to the interview with Oklahoma City radio station 100.5 KAAT. Listen to it below.
