Former The Devil Wears Prada Drummer Daniel Williams and Sound Talent Group Owner Dave Shapiro Die in a Small Plane Crash in San Diego

Terrible news as multiple sources are reporting the deaths of The Devil Wears Prada drummer Daniel Williams and music agent and Sound Talent Group owner Dave Shapiro both died today in a plane crash on a Sessna plane in San Diego. The crash happened around 4 AM PST caused a huge fireball that lit several houses and cars on fire. The FAA is on-site and investigating the scene which was consider a HAZMAT area due to jet-fuel leakage. Williams posted to social media multiple times about being on the plane in question and Shaprio was also traveling with two other members of STG. Williams was a member of TDWP from 2005 to 2016 and played on Dear Love: A Beautiful Discord (2006), Plagues (2007), With Roots Above and Branches Below (2009), Dead Throne (2011), 8:18 (2013), and the Space EP (2015). The STG agency roster includes Sum 41, Pierce the Veil, I Prevail, Set it Off, Story of the Year, Silverstein, Parkway Drive and Eve 6. Shapiro also ran the Velocity Records music label, whose roster has included Thursday, Concrete Castles, and Craig Owens. Shapiro was also an avid pilot with more than a decade of flying experience and was the owner of Velocity Aviation, through which he offered pilot instruction.
