Employed To Serve Books UK a Headline Tour


Rising UK Metal band Employed To Serve have announced a last-minute run of UK headline shows, set to kick-off in Huddersfield on May 17th 2022. South London metallers, Burner, will be opening proceedings across the 9-date tour, whilst shoegaze two-piece, Zetra, will appear as special guests across both Milton Keynes and St Albans. These dates are in addition to this summer highly-anticipated festival dates such as Rock For People, Graspop Metal Meeting, Roskilde Festival, Resurrection Festival, and a tour planned as the direct support opening for Gojira. The band are supporting the new album Conquering (Spinefarm Records, review here) out now!

Baest Announce New Album – “Necro Sapiens”


Danish death metal band Baest has announced their third full-length album Necro Sapiens out early 2021 via Century Media. More details about the release are coming soon.  Formed in 2015, they signed to Century Media in 2018 and have spent the past few years releasing new music and touring with bands like Aborted and Entombed A.D. The band has won a total of three Danish GAFFA awards. Now,  Baest is happy to announce their new album and a massive European tour in support of the forthcoming release, with dates opening for Benediction and major festivals, such as Roskilde, in their homeland.

Randall Blythe has a pre-order available for his upcoming book Dark Days: A Memoir (Da Capo Press; July 14, 2015), he tells the story of his incarceration after landing in Prague for a concert in 2012 and was immediately arrested on manslaughter charges for the death of a fan two years prior.

Mew Streaming “Satellites”; New Album +- Due April 28

Danish indie prog-rock/noisemeisters Mew is releasing their new album +- (as in “plus minus) on April 28, 2015 in North America via Play It Again Sam and features the band’s original line up of Jonas Bjerre (vocals), Bo Madsen (guitar), Johan Wohlert (bass), and Silas Utke Graae Jorgensen (drums). Stream “Satellites” here.

Mew will support  +-  with international touring, beginning with the band’s first American show in six years scheduled to take place in March at SXSW. The band has confirmed a string of European dates for May, major European festivals, and will return to North America for a full tour late summer/fall 2015.
