According to a published report from Lambgoat.com, Limp Bizkit bassist and founding member Sam Rivers has died at the age of 48. A cause of death has yet to be revealed. The band shared a memortial post announcing Sam’s passing on social media. Rivers founded Limp Bizkit alongside Fred Durst in 1994 after meeting working at Chick-fil-a in Jacksonville. The multi-platinum selling Nu Metal group would go on to release six full-lengths and an EP, all which featured Rivers on bass. In 2015 Rivers temporarily left the band due to diagnosis of degenerative disc disease, but would late reveal the reason for leaving was liver disease due to excessive drinking. Continue reading
