Guns N Roses Performs a New Song – “Absurd” Live At Fenway Park


Guns N Roses performed a brand new song last night, August 4th, at Fenway Park! The band broke into the song “Absurd,”  a reworked version of the song “Silkworms” after W. Axl Rose made a quip about the song’s title and that fans might know it under a different name! I was definitely a rocking tune in the vein of “It’s So Easy” and “You Could Be Mine.”  According to Blabbermouth.net –  GNR last performed “Silkworms”, which was reportedly written during the Chinese Democracy sessions, in 2001. The band has been working on new music for release soon.

Slash is Hoping to Release New Music from his Bands, Including Guns N Roses in 2021 


In a new interview with Cleavelnd.com, Guns N Roses guitarist Slash says he hopes to release new material next year from both Guns N Roses and with his solo band Slash featuring Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators. Slash’s last album with his solo band was 2018’s Living The Dream via Snakepit Records, in partnership with Roadrunner Records. GNR has not released a new album since 2008’s Chinese Democracy, but the core original band of Slash, W. Axl Rose, and Duff McKagan has not released an album since 1993’s covers album The Spaghetti Incident. The band also released a stand-alone single “The Shadow of Your Love” from 2018’s massive Appetite for Destruction boxed set.
