Sirens, the new documentary about the Lebanese Metal band Slave to Sirens, is out now via Oscilloscope Laboratories (Scott Walker: 30 Century Man, Youssou N’Dour: I Bring What I Love, May it Last: A Portrait of the Avett Brothers). The film has made the film-festival circuit making its premiere at 2022 Sundance Film Festival and now is showing at many indie theaters in the US. Directed By Rita Baghdadi and Produced by Baghdadi and Camilla Hall, the film counts Executive Producers including: Natasha Lyonne (Orange is The New Black), Maya Rudolph (Saturday Night Live), Danielle Renfrew Behrens, Cindy Holland, John Boccardo, Derek Esplin, Kathryn Everett, Bryn Mooser, and Dave Pell. The doc tracks the band Slave to Sirens as they emerged from the music scene in Lebanon as the first all-girl Metal Band from the country to perform at metal festivals all over the world, while dealing with unrest and tragedy in country, all-while dealing with internal personal issues of being in a band, sexual, and identity crisises facing all young adults.
