AC/DC Announces Their Long-Awaited Power Up 2024 World Tour, Chris Chaney (Jane’s Addiction, Alanis Morissette) to Replace Cliff Williams on Bass

AC/DC has finally announced their long awaited “Power Up” tour! The European tour will begin May 17th in Germany. More dates for the rest of the world are expected to be announced in time. Joining the core of the band co-founder guitarist Angus Young, singer Brian Johnson, guitarist Stevie Young, and drummer Matt Laug (ex Alanis Morissette, Alice Cooper, Slash’s Snake Pit) and Chris Chaney (Jane’s Addiction, Alanis Morissette, Camp Freddy). The band last played at October’s PowerTrip Festival in Indio, California. It was their first show with Brian Johnson since 2016, now that he is recovered from his severe hearing loss issues. The band commented: “We are thrilled to finally announce the ‘Power Up’ European Tour. Angus, Brian, Stevie, and Matt will be joined by Chris Chaney to carry the torch for Cliff. “The tour will see us play shows across Germany, Italy, Spain, The Netherlands, Austria, Switzerland, England, Slovakia, Belgium, France & Ireland this Summer.
