Jack Black’s Band Tenacious D Cancels Current Tour After Bandmate Jokes About Trump Assassination Attempt On-Stage

According to published reports, actor, musician and viral social media star Jack Black has said he was “blindsided” by Tenacious D  bandmate Kyle Gass’s on-stage comments about the assassination attempt against Donald Trump on Sunday and has canceled the rest of the world tour for his band, while decrying “hate speech or political violence in any form.”  Black has been a notable critic of Trump and President Biden supporter. At a tour date in Sydney, Australia, guitarist and vocalist Kyle Gass was presented with a cake on stage for his birthday and was asked to make a wish while blowing out his candles. Tenacious D Tease New Web Series, New Album And Tour Incoming

Jack Black and Kyle Gass a.k.a. Tenacious D previously announced their new album Post-Apocalypto, coming this November 2nd, 2018, Produced by John Spiker, and featuring long-time collaborator Dave Grohl of Foo Fighters on drums. In conjunction with the album, the band is releasing a six-part animated video series the band created, also called Post-Apocalypto. Tenacious D’s The Pick of Destiny Movie Sequel coming later This Year

Tenacious D’s whose hilarious metal-inspired cult comedy Tenacious D And The Pick of Destiny will see a sequel released in 2018. During the band’s performance at Shaky Knees Music Festival on Sunday, Jack Black announced that the film would be released this October.
