MTV Icon Matt Pinfield has Emerged from His Coma, in Recovery in a Rehab Facility



Thanks to a report from Lambgoat, legendary MTV VJ and music media personality Matt Pinfield, best known for hosting shows like 120 Minutes has been finally released from the ICU, and entered a rehab facility. This comes just a few months after suffering a massive stroke. In an exclusive, The Hollywood Reporter confirmed that Pinfield has been discharged from the ICU and is now in a rehab facility located in Los Angeles. The rest of his care, after he leaves rehab at the end of March, will continue to recover with outpatient facility care. Pinfield plans to “get back to his radio shows and doing what he loves, entertaining people playing music” despite being aware that his doctors did not initially expect him to recover, talk or walk ever again, and many friends came to pay their respects to him thinking he was going to die. Pinfield, who has had a career that includes hosting Total Request Live (TRL), syndicated Radio, SiriusXM, his own TV show, podcasting, Twitch streaming and serving as VP of A&R at Columbia Records, among other things. His daughters, Jessica and Maya, filed for a temporary conservatorship, expressing concerns over their father’s ability to manage his health and finances. Refused/Fake Names/INVSN/International Noise Conspiracy vocalist and Swedish Hardcore legend Dennis Lyxzén suffered a massive heart attack earlier today (June 13th, 2024).
